About Us
Dominic DeLaquil
I have been an entrepreneur and small business owner since my late teens. I put myself through college with my own painting and property rehab business in Saint Louis. Later I started, operated and then sold two lawn care businesses, one in the Pacific Northwest and the other in the Midwest. I also worked in the restaurant industry and was a part of a handful of new restaurant openings, big and small.
After that I started, owned and operated my own restaurant in downtown Boise. Strategic partnerships within the community elevated the business, turning the restaurant into a popular community gathering spot because of the unique pairing of food with local art, music and movies. We specialized in hiring, training and developing younger and often inexperienced high school and college age students, many of whom have gone on to successful careers of their own.
In tandem with owning and operating various businesses, I am also a Physical Therapist, and I have spent nearly a decade in a regional consulting role for one of the nation’s largest healthcare organizations. That role was all about developing rehab directors to maximize their clinical and financial operations and, in turn, mentor the therapists on their teams to step into leadership roles as the company grew.
I've had my share of failures and success along the way, and all of that has been grist for the mill. I've learned from experiences and from good teachers and now I want to use what I’ve learned to help other small business owners. Owning your own business should be rewarding and fulfilling and one of life's great experiences. It should not be a doom-loop of ever more work and stress. Our purpose is to help you create your best balance between your business and the rest of your life.
